Incorrigibles is part of the exhibition Visions of Confinement (June 29 – September 10, 2016) co-curated by Isaac Scott & Arden Sherman. “Incorrigibles: An Archaeology of Reform, Oppression, and Defiance at a Girls’ Training School”, is a presentation by and conversation with Incorrigibles’ public historian, Kathleen Hulser. The presentation spans the time period of 1887 to 1939— and looks at the New York House of Refuge and New York State Training School for Girls. The event was part of the public programming taking place during the course of this exhibition.
